Cody Benzel, Owner Operator
Cody Benzel has been guiding fly fishing trips since 2001 and became a licensed outfitter in 2011. With nearly 30 years of experience, Cody specializes in Montana’s premier fisheries, including the Beaverhead, Big Hole, Madison, Ruby, Jefferson, Blackfoot, Bitterroot, Clark Fork, rivers.
Raised in a family of anglers, Cody’s passion for fly fishing began early. After years of working in fly shops and guiding, he built a reputation for his expert knowledge, patient teaching style, and love of the outdoors. His goal is to share unforgettable fishing experiences while connecting clients with Montana’s incredible natural beauty.
Cole left his home state of Maine in 2016 to pursue a degree in Environmental Science and explore the great outdoors of Montana. Growing up in Maine’s lake region, he often fished from the dock with his dad, enjoying plentiful smallmouth bass and bluegill. After five years in Bozeman, Cole decided to find a quieter town with exceptional trout fishing and settled in Dillon. Since moving to Dillon, he has honed his trout fishing and guiding skills, becoming a familiar face on the river. He now teaches science in Lima while completing his Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program at Montana State University. Cole is a lighthearted young man with a great sense of humor and plenty of patience for anglers of any level.
